How to Uninstall SharePoint 2007

If the uninstall of SharePoint 2007 suddenly stops with no messages in Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs, you must take the following steps (backup or migration has already been performed):

  1. Remove the Server Farm. Open SharePoint 3 Central Administration. Click Servers in Farm under Topology and Services and Remove Server. There may be an error message, since the server is no longer available.

  2. Open the SQL Server Studio Manager and delete the following databases: Content, Configuration, Search, and SSP.

  3. Remove Web Applications. Open Internet Information Manager and remove all related websites.

  4. Uninstall SharePoint 2007 in Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs.
